Now here's a weird one. This is from the same breeding that brought us 'Blue Shift' and 'Blue Vein.' It comes from a crossing of Lathyrus odoratus and Lathyrus belinensis, which produced the unexpected result of flowers that shift from one color to another. In this case the flower opens pale mauve and then shifts to turquoise, hitting every color in between. It is a color seldom seen in cultivation, and will no doubt draw attention to your garden. The flowers have the form of a Spencer type, but are smaller on a smaller plant. Fragrant.
Raised by Keith Hammett and introduced by Roger Parsons in 2012.
