The Blue Shift Sweet Pea combines genes of Lathyrus belinensis and Lathyrus odoratus producing some intriguing results. The flowers open a clear pink/mauve and then gradually flush with true blue and even aquamarine shades as the flower ages. While fun for cutting, they are perhaps best suited to garden use where their color transition can be fully appreciated. Lightly fragrant.
