Ruby Slippers Polygonatum Perennial Plants

One of my favorite shade perennials, Solomon's Shield or Polygonatum is tough. While they do prefer moist well-drained woodland conditions, they are quite tolerant of the occasional dry spell after establishment. The natural backdrop and companion to hostas, astilbes, and other shade lovers. 'Ruby Slippers' is a new Japanese cultivar with exciting red stems and rigid textural leaves. They are excellent cut foliage for the flower arrangers amongst us and will live in your garden for decades.
