Phlox

$5.95

I am still trialing these new phlox from Walters Gardens, but this one was so lovely I needed to get the word out immediately. They are a hybrid phlox, retaining the flower shape and presence of a garden phlox (P. paniculata) but they bloom earlier, will rebloom after cutting down, and have good mildew resistance. They are a little shorter than garden phlox but are still plenty tall to cut. They spread by underground stolons rather than just clumping so expect them to creep around the garden in a pleasing manner. Cut them right back to the ground after flowering for a fresh flush of flowers. Blooms well in the first year. Asexual propagation prohibited.
