Week of July 24: Taco Salad
So zesty and delicious!
This week’s dinner party menu is one of my absolute favorite things: taco salad!
It really is the perfect meal: fresh, crunchy, warm, cold, spicy and acidic, with a dollop of sour cream on top. The taco meat is made using Snug Valley Farm pork with black and kidney beans, garlic, onion, lime, red cabbage, and plenty of spice.
It is served with tortilla chips (fried in house!), Pete's Greens organic mesclun, Gringo Jack's chipotle salsa, Cabot cheddar and sour cream, and a lime.
And if you need a little sweet accompaniment, our mexican chocolate pots de créme is back. Luxurious dark chocolate custard with cayenne and cinnamon.
